CD Projekt Red’s dystopian future is getting another expansion withCyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence, introducing a whole new story.
Afterclawing its way back to positive reviews,Cyberpunk 2077is back on good terms with the majority of fans, with many believing its journey of redemptionwill be completewhen the new DLC,Phantom Liberty, drops later this year.

Some fans have even reflected on the game’s rocky launch, believing it wasn’t actually as bad as people made it out to be, andcriticised too harshly.Cyberpunk 2077launched onXbox One,PS4andPCin 2020, and faced an avalanche of bugs, glitches and performance issues that severely impacted people’s experience with the game. The launch was such a disaster, it’s been admitted into theNew York Museum of Failures.

It seems like it’s smooth sailing for now though, especially with Phantom Liberty on the horizon, which will extend the game’s story, add a new area to explore, and introduce several long-desiredgameplay additionsand features.
That’s not all though, another story expansion is on the way, this time in the form of a novel based on theCD Projekt RedIP.
Its description reads: “In neon-drenched Night City, a ragtag group of strangers have just pulled off a daring heist on a Militech convoy transporting a mysterious container. What do each of them have in common? Good, old-fashioned blackmail. Forced to do the job, they have no idea how far their employer’s reach goes, nor what mysterious object the container holds.”

Sounds like a wild ride, and one that aims to expand on the lore of Night City and its denizens, including factions found in the game.No Coincidenceis set to be a standalone story, so fans hoping for some crossover with V and Johnny Silverhand will likely be disappointed.
