
The final countdown toCyberpunk 2077: Phantom Libertyis on. In case you’ve forgotten,Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only full expansion is set to release on 26 September.
I say it’s the only expansion as we know thatCD Projekt REDdevelopers are now switching their attention to thenext instalment in The Witcher series. It’s certainly not the end of the road for the franchise though, asProject Orion-Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel - has entered pre-production. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. The upcomingPhantom Libertyis set to introduce Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed, plus a number of new and revamped gameplay mechanics - including vehicular combat and updated enemy AI. Some of these updates will be coming to the base gamein Update 2.0but today, we’re here to discussPhantom Liberty’s hefty file size.

Still, it bodes well as a large file size should hopefully mean a ton of content. We know that in addition to its new location, quests and side quests,Phantom Libertywill also include redesigned cyberware, redesigned perks, new relic skill tree, revamped police, new vehicles, new vehicular combat, mounted weaponry, an increased level cap, and ‘endless dynamic events’.
Many of these upgraded mechanics will also come to the base game in the aforementioned upcoming Update 2.0. We don’t have an exact release date for Update 2.0 but it’s expected to release ahead ofPhantom Liberty.
