It’s no secret thatCyberpunk 2077has been riding a high in recent weeks but some fans are desperate for a third-person mode. Whilst this is possible with certain mods, it isn’t something thatCD Projekt Redever regretted choosing. “There are no regrets on our part,“saidquest director, Paweł Sasko during a recent Investor Day presentation. “What we wanted was forCyberpunkto have its own identity and to be noticeable as this different thing. These days it’s YouTube, Twitch, and screenshots that sell games, and this is the way one can use to show that identity and individuality to players.”

The Witcher 3,CD Projekt Red’s other project, is a third-person RPG which led fans to believeCyberpunk 2077would follow suit. Although that wasn’t the case, the team still hasn’t ruled it out for Project Orion, saying “we’re yet to see.”
Whether or notCyberpunk 2will be first or third person remains to be seen when the sequel releases sometime in the not-so-close future. However, if you are desperate for more of Night City, aCyberpunk 2077live-action adaptation wasrecently announcedfrom the producers of Mr. Robot.
