Days Gone is somehow getting a remaster before Bloodborne now

If a recent rumour is believed,Days Gonewill be getting a remaster beforeBloodborne.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan ofDays Gonewhich was released onPlayStation4 in 2019. Sure, it’s a slow burn, but I eventually really liked it and even went out of my way to claim its Platinum trophy.

Check out the Days Gone trailer below!

In 2020,Days Gonebenefited from a free new-gen update forPlayStation 5which gave the game a boost of a targeted 60 frames-per-second. Initially,Days Gonestruggled to accommodate hundreds of freakers aka zombies on the screen simultaneously on PS4, so this was a very welcomed update.

Plus, when being played on PlayStation 5,Days Gonelooks fantastic. However, as much as I really likeDays Gone, if it were to get an official remaster beforeBloodborne, that would be borderline criminal.

Bloodbornewas released in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and instantly became one ofFromSoftware’sbest games, a studio that has pumped out the likes ofElden Ring,Dark Souls,Demon’s Soulsand more.

Yet, as we approach the 10th anniversary ofBloodborne, despite continued pleas from fans, there is no sign of Sony greenlighting a remaster or remake anytime soon.

Heck,Bloodbornecan’t even get a free new-gen update that boosts the framerate to 60fps, when instead, it’s locked at 30fps on PlayStation 5. Moreover, as much as I loveHorizon Zero Dawn, a game that was released in 2017 and still looks incredible today, it looks like even that is getting aremaster beforeBloodborne.

If I were to be positive, a part of me wants to think that Sony is releasing aDays Goneremaster to test the water for the highly requested sequel.

As forBloodborne, I’m sure if Sony were to greenlight a free new-gen update on PS5, it would have happened long before now and perhaps it’s holding out for a big reveal on its tenth anniversary for a remaster or a full remake announcement.

As always, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear further news on the potential remasters or remakes ofDays GoneandBloodborne.
