If this is true, it will be a mere five years since the title was first released for thePlayStation4 but with no sequel planned for the Bend Studio IP, a remaster wouldn’t be too far-fetched.

However, with many older (and higher-rated) games which could receive a remaster (cough coughBloodbornecough cough), fans are less than pleased.

Not only isDays Gonea fairly new release, it is also considered as one of the least popular PlayStation IPs and just this week, we have seen how unhappy fans are with news ofHorizon Zero DawnRemasteredgetting an ESRB rating.

So we can only imagine the discourse ifDays Goneis next.

The rumour hit social media over the past few days and gamers are less than pleased.

“I swear down if this isDays GoneI’m not gonna be happy,” onecommentread over on Twitter.

“We want a sequel not a damn remaster of the game.”

Another said: “Wait, so it’s aDays Goneremaster? Doesn’t it already run at 4K at 60fps on the PS5 and has aPCport less than three years old?”

They continued, “So let me get this straight, the first two games they’ll announce for thePS5Pro are two remasters of late gen PS4 games? Sony lost their minds.”

The major elephant in the room is that titles such asBloodborne, which was first released in 2015 and remains a PS4 exclusive, has still received no word of a remaster or remake of any kind.

This is the case despite it being one of the most-requested of… well, all time.

However, it seems as though Sony has other plans but with gamers this unhappy, it may need to buck up its ideas.
