It’s none other than Magpie, a character harkening back to the Golden Age of DC comic storylines.
As Superman’s villain of the week, she was thwarted from stealing and eventually became a Batman villain, though then she levelled-up to replacing the gems she stole with explosive replicas instead.
Magpie has been referenced a few times throughout DC storylines, and she’s made a couple of live-action appearances inGothamand the CW showBatwoman.

Her most recent appearance however has been Episode Four ofThe Penguin, appearing in the cell next door to Sofia in Arkham Asylum.
While they’ll never be a serious foil to Batman, it’s always nice when a new Batman project features one of these D-List villains for the eagle-eyed comic fans.
With plenty of episodes ofThe Penguinleft to go, perhaps we can look forward to even more obscure cameos as the series progresses.
