There had been rumours that Robert Downey Jr was considered to play Doctor Doom in anMCUmovie. Movie critic Devin Faraci claimed with that in mind, it had been discussed for Downey Jr to make a cameo inDeadpool & Wolverinein a post-credit scene which reportedly “didn’t work out.”
Faraci explained: “It was supposed to serve as both a buildup for[Avengers:] Secret Warsand as a payoff to another scene that is still in the film, which I won’t spoil.” Regardless of what the post-credit scene may or may not be forDeadpool & Wolverine, if it’s a tease related to the upcomingFantastic Fourmovie orAvengers: Secret Wars, I can’t wait to see it.
It’s possible that Roberty Downey Jr could still make some kind of cameo in the upcoming movie, but it might be safe to lower expectations.Deadpool & Wolverinearrives in cinemas on 26 July 2024.
