
To be fair,Capcomhas been asking fans in recent months what of its series’ they would like to see revived and along with the likes of Dead Rising and Onimusha,Dino Crisis was thrown into the mix. Whether we get a new Dino Crisis anytime soon, remains to be seen.

However, when the sequel arrived just a year later, it changed the formula somewhat. Sure, we still had a fantastic story, a challenging difficulty and plenty of horror but it had swapped much of its horror for action, which was fine, in some ways,Dino Crisis 2is whatResident Evil 3was toResident Evil 2.
To this day, bothDino Crisisgames are fun to play, especially if you’re a fan of old-school classics of the PlayStation era. But what if we could play a better version ofDino Crisis 2which still retained what made this game such a cult classic, how awesome would that be?
‘Dino Crisis 2 Classic Rebirth’ swaps DirectDraw7 for Direct3D 9 making for a smoother experience but is also compatible with XAudio2 so that it will be a delight for your ears too. Moreover, it also makes this classic game look extra gorgeous with HD visuals and you can choose between 20, 30 or 60 frames per second.

Dino Crisis 2is playable on PS1, PS2 and some PS3 consoles as well as PC. I couldn’t recommend these classics enough if you’re yet to play either of the first two games in this series.
