Discord is finally letting Xbox players stream games

Here’s some good news for Xbox fans. Discord is now finally allowing Xbox players to stream their games to the service, a feature that was previously exclusively available to PC and mobile users.

Discord is really stepping it up this year when it comes to adding highly requested features. Back in March, Discord integrationwas finally added to the PlayStation 5. Can you believe that it had been announced two years earlier? Better late than never, I suppose. Something console players were previously unable to do though is stream games to the platform. Until now, this was only available for PC and mobile users but that’s changed as Discord streaming is now available onXboxtoo. Sorry, no updates for youPlayStation5 folks.

Starfieldwill finally be released on Xbox next month. Take a look at the latest trailer below.

Speaking about the new feature over on the Discord blog, the teamwrote, “We wanted to help recreate the feeling of your friends lounging on the same couch, playing their favorite games and joking with each other, in a virtual environment from anywhere in the world. As cross-play between platforms continues to grow, so does our journey of bringing players together, wherever they play.”

That’s not all. The Discord team further added that they’re “far from finished” and will have “more news to share with our friends at Xbox later this year.” Here’s to hoping streaming eventually lands on the PS5 too.
