The VORAX Steam page lists plenty of features that will be familiar to fans of zombie games - zombies with unique attacks; various areas to play in such as sewers, urban areas and caves; plus barricade building and trap laying to defend a base of operations.
The game also boasts a “large and detailed game environment” which plays within an open-world. There will be survival elements featured too, as seen in hunting and cooking food, while having to also treat wounds and injuries. There’s even a stress mechanic which will alter gameplay.
Sure, zombie games are ten a dozen nowadays, but this combination of arcade zombie shooter with more simulation-types of survival will hopefully appeal to both sides of the audience. There is definitely space in the market for a zombie game that offers this kind of depth.
There is no firm release date for the game as yet, but having a playable demo is always a good sign.VORAXwill be entering into Early Access when it releases, so zombie killers can jump in early.
