Whatever you may think about the overall quality ofDoctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, there’s no doubting that Raimi tapped into the darker side of theMCU.

The news quickly made its wayto Redditwhere fans seem to be overjoyed that the legendary Spider-Man director will be back on anotherMarvelproject.
The fans’ only criticism is that Raimi needs to be paired with a different writer for the sequel as many believe the script didn’t live up to the vision.
“Hopefully there is a better writer on board,”saidOntologicalParadox.
Another Redditorsays, “Raimi is a great director and made my favorite movie (Spider-Man 2) just give the guy a not s**t script and executives need to quit meddling with his movies.”

Raimi, with his epic horror career, can bring a level of darkness and mind-twisting visuals to the MCU and Doctor Strange is certainly a character who benefits from that level of weird.
I think Raimi can really elevate a superhero project and, in my mind, Doctor Strange is one of the weaker heroes in the MCU when compared to others.
If we’re going to get another film, it needs to embrace the utterly bonkers source material and play with the visual medium.
