Remember the mysterious 2020 ban of Dr Disrespect that is still a curious Twitch tale even to this day? Well, the Twitch star is finally opening up about what happened.
This isn’t the first time theTwitchban has reared its ugly head – Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy, hasaddressed the banbefore now. Though not in a way that satisfies Dr Disrespect’s fans.

The “big” sponsorships he lost out on were reportedly with Nike and Oakley, two brands that would have undoubtedly given the Twitch star more clout than he previously had.
“That was a tough time. Not gonna beat around the bush, man. We didn’t know, we didn’t find out until a year later. But during that time, we built everything up to that point. We lost out on a lot of big deals, a lot of sponsorships.”
He continued, “I mean, sht, we had Nike, we were talking to Oakley. And that’s no joke, man. I can bring up Oakley prototypes right here. And then that sht happened, man, and I was in a spot that I hadn’t been in before.”

We once again have no ideawhatcaused the ban, which is frustrating for fans still desperate to know, but this recent and sudden break of radio silence might be the trickle before the floodgates open.
It’s been four years. Will Dr Disrespect get those sponsorships back? Will he ever tell us exactly what happened? As always with this “mystery”, fans are left in the dark once more as they try to do some sleuthing of their own behind the scenes.
