Popular content creator, Dr Disrespect claims that the Call of Duty series has forgotten about gameplay and that it only cares about crossover skins. To be fair, he might be at least some part right. Sure, of course, the developers care about making any game the best that it can be. After all, it’s the developer’s reputation that is on the line. However, presumably, when it comes to the perspective of a publisher, popular skins can bring in big money.
He continued: “The state of this industry, I don’t know where we’re at, man. It’s not what I grew up with. It was literally about playing the games and the fun aspect of interacting with games, but now people are getting hyped off high-production video pieces. We need to bring the culture of this industry back.”
