Dying Light 2: Stay Humanhas just celebrated its second anniversary, and the content updates just keep on coming.
It’s nice to see that Techland is still as dedicated toDying Light 2: Stay Humanas it was two years ago upon release. It would be a lie though to say that it’s been smooth sailing for the game. I remember the ruckus that flared up back when it was teased that itcould take you 500 hoursto completeDying Light 2. The latest controversysaw microtransactions addedinto the game. Given that these landed over a year after launch, players posed the question of ‘Why?’ withan influx of negative reviews landingshortly after amidst a wave of protest. The dust does appear to have settled, as plenty of great updates have dropped too. That leads me nicely onto the top of today’s discussion, The Year of the Dragon event.

You need to sign in to Pilgrim Outpost in order to bag all the relevant rewards. You’ll be tasked with rescuing survivors and peacekeepers. Do so and you’ll gain red envelopes and these equate to free rewards. “Survivors and Peacekeepers have found themselves in trouble. Rescue them during Encounters to receive Red Envelopes that will provide you with the means to walk the path of success. May good fortune and wealth accompany you on your journey,” the update explains.
Each day will also bring ‘dragon blessing’ weapons modifiers. If the community collects 4 million red envelopes, the Tigerwing Paraglider and Chi-Tu Charm will become available for everyone to nab for free. The current total stands at just over 308,000 (correct at the time of writing). In the meantime, all players can download the Azure-Edged Dragon Mask right now, plus the Post-Apocalyptic Dragon Warrior outfit is available as a Twitch drop if you tune into a streamer playingDying Light 2- with the relevant accounts linked, naturally.
