According to the latest leaks, it’ll take around 70 hours to finish if you want to be a completionist about it.
While the DLC looks spectacular, and the perfect way to cap off what is arguably FromSoftware’s best game to date, fans have been drawing comparisons between the expansion and other projects from the developer.
Taking a look at the screenshots and gameplay, we can seeShadow Of The Erdtreetakes place in what appears to be an entirely separate plain of existence.
It’s believed that to access this new world you’ll have to interact with Miquella’s husk in the base game, which meansMohg will be a mandatory fightfor those looking to get into the DLC.

As the title implies, this new world is covered in shadows, with gothic architecture and a general depressing atmosphere. This is a sharp contrast to the base game’s royal aesthetic, especially the golden aura of Leyndell.
Many believe FromSoftware has taken inspiration fromBloodbornefor the DLC, which still hasn’t received aPlayStation5 upgrade, or a remake/remaster for that matter.
Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtreecomes out next month, and will be the last hurrah for one of FromSoftware’s best soulsborne titles.
