Elden Ring’s long-awaited first major expansion may finally have a release date, and it’s much closer than we’d dared hope.

As spottedon Reddit, online retailer Datablitz accidentally uploaded details of a new partnership betweenElden Ringpublisher Bandai Namco and controller and accessory manufacturer Thrustmaster. It would appear Thrustmaster is working on some newElden Ringthemed hardware, but that’s not the most interest part of the leak.

The promotional material, which has since been purged form the internet, claimed the first lot of controllers would be released in February 2024 to “sync with the newShadow of the Erdtreeexpansion release”.
While it seems slightly odd FromSoftware would dropShadow Of The Erdtreein two months' time with no warning and a year of silence, if anyone could pull off a Beyonce and go full Lemonade with their expansion, it’s FromSoftware. February 2024 would also mark two years since the launch ofElden Ring, so it makes sense.
For now we’ll just have to wait and see. I highly doubt FromSoftware and Bandai will announce anything before the end of the year, but we’ve still got a few more weeks for them to let us know what’s going on. Watch this space.
