This news comes courtesy of an interview with IGN andElden Ringdirector Hidetaka Miyazaki in which it soon became clear how ambitious this project was for the development team. “It’s hard to answer without giving away too much and to a high degree of accuracy, but if you think in terms of scale or size, it’s probably comparable, if not larger, than the area of Limgrave from the base game,” Miyazakisaid.

Not only that but accessing this new map will be made possible through “a warp of sorts” which many fans believe is connected to Miquella themselves.

With the promise of “open field maps, with large scale legacy dungeons, and with small to medium scale legacies”,Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeis expected to beFromSoftware’s“biggest DLC” yet when it releases on 21 June.
