
The Elder Scrolls VIaside, it’s fair to say thatSkyrimis the most popular entry in the acclaimed Bethesda series.
For good reason,Skyrimis fantastic and I’m not sure I’d be able to argue it down from the franchise’s top spot.
That being said, I have a major fondness forMorrowind, perhaps as it pertains to my earliest gaming memories.

You see, my dad is a big fan of the 2002 action RPG. I’d watch him play on our chunky computer as he’d let me explore, vanquishing the odd enemy.
In fact, he stills owns that original copy and while it is possible to get ourPCs to run the 22-year-old classic, I don’t think it would be remiss to wish for a version ofMorrowindwith a few new bells and whistles.
As it so happens, that exists. Allow me to introduce you toMorrowind Rebirth.

“Rebirthis mainly aimed at returning players and veterans that have seen and done most things in-game, and want a fresh experience. New players are recommended to try the vanilla experience.”
Almost all cities have new layouts, shops, and places of interest, there are new dungeons, improved landscapes, and more than 20 new creatures have been added.
Additionally, there are over 200 pieces of new armour, spell effects have been improved, gameplay balancing adjustments have been made, and graphics have been vastly overhauled.

And that’s simply skimming over a few highlights.
This mod is the culmination of thousands of hours of work, and it’s still being updated.
In fact, version 6.7 landed just last month.
The latest version fixes various bugs, adds additional details to various open world locations, in addition to adding new clothing, spell, item and armour options as well as several artifacts.
