Elder Scrolls 6 PS5 release may happen after all

Console exclusivity is always going to lead to envy, unless you happen to own all of the available console options. If that’s not you though, you can understand why Xbox fans are itching to get their hands onMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, or why PlayStation fans are desperate to giveStarfielda whirl.

The Elder Scrolls VIis on the way and givenStarfield’s Xbox exclusivity - following Microsoft’s previous acquisition of Bethesda parent company ZeniMax - many assumed that it would also be exclusively available on the green brand. In recent weeks,Bethesdachief Todd Howard confirmed that itmay actually be his last game, given how long Bethesda take to develop their titles combined with the lengthy post-launch support. In fact, just the other week, Howard teasedThe Elder Scrolls VI’spotential release window. It turns out though, the game may not even be an Xbox exclusive after all.

Then again, it’s in Spencer’s best interests to give the appearance of considering cross-platform releases as that’s something that’s more likely to sway regulators into approving the Activision deal. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on this one.
