If you tuned into Sunday’s Xbox Games Showcase, you’ll likely have seen that Playground Games dropped a brand new trailer forFable.
Unfortunately, this long-awaited rebootisn’t set to land until next year- and as a reminder, it’ll do so on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Regardless of the wait ahead, it was great to get a fresh look at what developers have been working on.

It appears as if Humphrey will be an ally to our protagonist but then again, this isFablewe’re talking about. Who’s to say that we’re on the side of good?
While the trailer didn’t feature much in the way of gameplay, there were a few brief snippets of our heroine wielding her sword against an unknown foe and walking through several of the game’s locales.
The eagle-eyed among you may have also spotted that the trailer seemingly hints atFable’s big bad.

If you’re not familiar with Jack, he’s essentially an interdimensional being that’s able to take over new bodies using a magic mask.

Yes, that means he can manifest in an array of forms making him pretty much immortal.
It’s not a total surprise then that this formidable foe may be back to haunt us.
Anyone who knows Jack of Blades will be familiar with these traits of the character.
