Fallout 3 fans blown away by hidden quest most of us missed

It may have been almost 20-years sinceFallout 3was first released but that hasn’t stopped fans from returning to the RPG classic to find some hidden content.

Released back in 2008, and the firstFalloutentry to haveBethesdaboth develop and publish it,Fallout 3is considered as one of the best entries in the much-loved series.

Taking place in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C., the story follows an inhabitant of Vault 101 who is forced to venture out into the Capital Wasteland in order to find their father after he disappears under mysterious circumstances.

However, it isn’t long before they find themselves fighting against the Enclave, the corrupt remnants of the U.S. government whose aim is to use the Lone Wanderer’s father’s work to their own advantage.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The quest is unmarked but speaking to the samurai, named Toshiro Kago, will kick off the Among the Stars mission.

After explaining how he was abducted from Japan during the feudal era and cryogenically frozen, he goes on to explain that his beloved katana is missing.

Should players accept the mission, the katana can be found on the maintenance level of the ship and subsequently returned to Toshiro.

More specifically, one Reddit user gives more exact directions.

“It’s in the trash compactor section of the ship, where you ride a dumpster with Sally and fall at the bottom,” theyexplained.

After you reach the end and meet up Sally again, right before the teleporter is a small room full of first aid kit, and on one of the shelves there is the katana.”

DespiteFallout 3being almost 20-years old, many players reported missing this quest so let this be an excuse to boot up the Bethesda classic once more.
