If you’re in the latter camp below is a secret that you might have missed when you first started playing, and it can net you some sweet goodies very early into the game.

One of the closest areas you’ll be able to explore is the town of Megaton, the settlement that has a nuclear warhead slap bang in the middle of it.
While nothing looks out of the ordinary at first, closer inspection of the rock itself will reveal a secret that I’m sure many players won’t know about.

The rock is actually named Hollowed-Out Rock, and serves as a secret stash of goodies to get new players started on the post-apocalyptic adventure.
Inside you’ll find some ammo, a sniper rifle, a stealth boy, stimpaks and a letter, which provides a bit of backstory as to who hollowed-out the stash and why.
