
Every franchise has its iconic components.
For example, aFalloutinstalment simply wouldn’t be complete without Nuka-Cola, the Brotherhood of Steel, or a Pip-Boy making an appearance.
If you ask me though, the most iconic moment in any given Fallout release is the point in which you depart the safety of that project’s vault, entering the vast harshness of the wasteland that lies before you.

It’s something I thought Prime Video’sFalloutTV series captured perfectly, with Ella Purnell’s Lucy quite quickly experiencing a brutal culture shock (although yes, her vault experience ended up being less than idyllic too).
Presumably,Fallout 5will bring us a new iteration of this series staple as a mainline game set entirely in a vault feels a tad radical.
If that’s an experience you’re yearning for though, oneFallout 4player has managed to complete the game without venturing out of Vault 111.

“My game didn’t register me leaving the vault, so this is the only achievement I have left,” they elaborated, showing the ‘War Never Changes’ achievement incomplete which requires you to “Enter the Wasteland”.
Okay, so yes, the legitimacy of this trick is a bit hazy.
TheJFG4 did leave the vault, but it didn’t register … and that’s enough for fellow players to wonder what the requirements are of achieving this strange trick.
One user seems to think it’s all to do with Quick Resume which has been known to interfere with achievement completion.

“Never use Quick Resume if you care for achievements. Messed up my completion of the Arkham games,”wrotethe user.

I doubt there’s truly a way in which you can roll credits without leaving the vault.
