
The Fallout series is one of the most popular RPG franchises in the video game industry and whether it’s older classics or something a bit more recent, fans cannot get enough.
When the series made its debut onPCin 1997, it was played in a trimetric perspective unlike today where players have the choice of playing modern Fallout games in either first or third-person. Yet, as good as modernFalloutgames are, sometimes we like to play some of itsretroclassics.

WhenBethesdaSoftworks acquired the rights to the Fallout franchise from Interplay Productions in 2004, the series moved away from the trimetric perspective withFallout 3released in 2008.

As you might expect, this original version ofFallout 3is probably lost somewhere on a floppy disc in an abandoned office block infested with radioactive ghouls. Thankfully, as always, the talentedmoddingcommunity has us covered.
The modder also claims that the world map is five times bigger than the originalFallout 2. In the future, new translations, voiceovers as well as 3D cinematics are also promised.

Sadly, considering thatFallout 2was only ever released on PC, this mod that brings the original vision ofFallout 3to life is not available on consoles. That being said, we can still enjoy every game in the series fromFallout 3(2008) with an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
