Despite knowing very little about the upcomingFallout 5, vault-dwelling fans are still as excited as ever and this subtle update might be music to their ears.
The last numbered mainline entry in the series isFallout 4, originally released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and this year, it benefited from afree new-gen update. However, taking into account spin-offs, the MMORPG,Fallout 76was released in 2018.

What’s more, now that the main development of Bethesda’s other RPG,Starfieldis out of the way, fans would like to think that the focus has now shifted to the highly anticipatedFallout 5but it seems that focus will also remain on the aforementionedFallout 76.
Whenspeaking toTheGamer,Fallout 76creative director Jon Rush was asked whether the upcomingFallout 5would hurt the MMORPG spin-off.
“Absolutely not,” said Rush. “I can understand that perspective, watching from the outside in, but no, absolutely not. If anything, whenFallout 5does come out, it’ll make it even more impactful. But [Fallout 76] isn’t holding anything back.”
