Along with The Elder Scrolls, the Fallout series is one of the crown jewel properties that Bethesda has to offer and fans are excited for when the next entry in the post-apocalyptic RPG series arrives.
The Fallout series has been going strong for well over 25 years since its inception back in 1997 long before it became aBethesda-owned property. However, with the launch ofFallout 3in 2008 (now under the Bethesda umbrella), the series became more mainstream and for some, this is the best game in the beloved series.

Since the release ofFallout3, this series has seen popular releases includingFallout: New Vegas,Fallout 4andFallout 76to name a few on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. I know that the latter game has a bad rep, but from what we hear,Fallout 76is a much better game now than when it launched in 2018.

Naturally, fans cannot wait for the arrival ofFallout 5, despite not having a release date yet. All we know at the time of writing is thatBethesda has confirmedFallout 5and it will arriveafterThe Elder Scrolls VI. With that in mind, fans will have to be patient forFallout 5with its expected release being several years away. That being said, let’s assume thatFallout 5is at least four to five years away, this will result in millions of gamers not being able to play the game.
There’s a chance that Microsoft might makeFallout 5and evenThe Elder Scrolls VIavailable on PlayStation but we won’t be holding our breath. For now, at least, it’s safe to assume thatFallout 5will be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S, leaving PlayStation and previous-gen console owners behind.
