With that in mind, it’s safe to assume thatFallout 5is a long way off and it may not even be released until the next generation of consoles has arrived. Despite being left in the dark, this has given fans a perfect opportunity to let Bethesda know what they’d like to see inFallout 5such as finally being able to play as ghouls and super mutants.

“Would you want to play a Fallout game where you could customise the “species” of your character? Ghouls, Mutants and Androids?”askedRedditor MitchMyester23.

“I absolutely would, but it’ll never happen. Playing as a super mutant would probably lock you out of most major human settlements, meaning Bethesda would have to create alternatives,” exclaimed LikeAnEvianBottle. “Almost every NPC would talk to you differently if your character was a super mutant or a ghoul.

“I could imagine some sort ofDragon Age: Origins-esque setup where your choice of race gives you a different opening scenario, which I think would be very cool,” suggested PrivateJokerX929. “The trick is figuring out a way for those different starting scenarios to eventually converge on the same main questline.”

“I’d be down for being able to make a ghoul character but you can become one in the game as you play. Kind of like how Thaddus is turning into a ghoul,” said Ancient_Attitude_745.

It will be interesting to see whether Bethesda will give players more choice of species inFallout 5, after all,The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimoffers a good level of choice and that is a game originally released over a decade ago. It remains to be seen if Bethesda hears the calls from fans but on the bright side, at least it has plenty of time to test the waters of new-playable species with the release ofFallout 5being years away.
