Announced in 2021, fans were buzzing with excitement following the announcement ofThe Outer Worlds 2. Well, almost all fans. After all, now that Microsoft owns Obsidian Entertainment, it means thatThe Outer Worlds 2willonly be coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S. Sorry PlayStation 5 gamers.
At this time we know very little aboutThe Outer Worlds 2, however, the creator of the Fallout series, who also consults on games including the Obsidian Entertainment RPG, Tim Cain,toldRockPaperShotgun that fans will be impressed with a once troublesome improvement made in the sequel.
Sadly, Cain wasn’t able to elaborate on what this improvement will be due to NDA but teased that Obsidian Entertainment has finally “figured out” a solution that has plagued the Fallout creator for three decades since working on the original game back in 1995. We’re dying to learn more!
The Outer Worlds 2does not have a release date at the time of writing, but it is expected to be released sometime during early 2026 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
