Fallout fans lose it over unexpected teaser

Fallout fans found themselves firing up the hype train over an unexpected new teaser at The Game Awards last night, and we can see why.

It’s been a heck of a year to be aFalloutfan.Fallout 76has gone from strength to strength withsome incredible new updates, and a huge 2025 on the horizon. We’ve also had theFalloutTV series, which launched to massive success and took the prize forBest Adaptation at The Game Awards.

Heading up on stage to accept the award,Falloutexecutive producer Jonathan Nolan briefly addressed the, uh, fallout to the show’s first season. Specifically, the controversy over whether or not the show retconned fan-favourite gameNew Vegas.

Without spoiling anything for those of you who have yet to watch the show, there’s one development partway through the series that many took to mean the events ofNew Vegasnever actually happened. Nolan has denied this, but the saltiness remains.

Anyway, while accepting the award Nolan thankedNew Vegasfans for “not burning down my house”, before adding: “you’ll be thankful you didn’t.”

It’s worth noting that the end of the first season made it pretty clear we’re headed to New Vegas in season two, and recent leaked set photos confirm some familiar locations from the video game.

“Season two going to have new Vegas vibes? That’ll make the fans HAPPY,“wroteone Twitter user.

Anotheraddedon Reddit: “I will be pleasantly surprised if they manage to make a satisfying canon ending forNew Vegas.”
