Fallout free downloads announced, you can grab three of the series' best games for nothing

Next week,FalloutandFallout 2will become free games onEpic GamesStore along with the spin-offFallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. The original two games, originally released in 1997 and 1998 respectively introduced us to the unique world of post-apocalyptic America.

Why not dip into these Fallout classics while waiting for the TV show?

Don’t let the retro graphics put you off; yes, they’re a bit of an eyesore nowadays, but the story underneath is just as engaging as any we’ve seen in the more modern Fallout titles. All the deadpan humour, sly satire, and recognisable tropes are here. It’s a very different kind of Fallout with turn-based battles rather than fast-paced action, and you can expect these to be a bit more story-heavy than more recent additions as these retro RPGs were always bursting with lore.
