
The Fallout franchise is one of the most popular RPG series in the video game industry and for good reason, they’re (mostly) fantastic games that stand the test of time.
The first Fallout game was released in 1997 onPCbefore it was in the hands ofBethesdaSoftworks. The original games were fantastic, especially when being played with the nostalgic trimetric camera perspective.

One of the best features ofFallout 4is its talentedmoddingcommunity and at least for the most part, thanks to its Creation Club, mods are also available for the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game.
A mod that is perhaps worth your attention, especially if you like survival games is the ‘Frost Survival Simulator’ which takes the difficulty up several notches and is available to download nowviaNexusMods courtesy of Redawt.
“Frost is a total overhaul ofFallout 4set in the year 2082, over 200 years before the events of vanillaFallout 4,” reads the description of the mod. “Experience a dark and atmospheric world and try to survive the Nuclear Winter….if you can.”

The free mod which is said to have taken “several hundreds” of hours to make includes a hallucination sanity system, new perks, new weapons, lore and much more. It all sounds very impressive indeed.
Unfortunately, the ‘Frost’ mod is only available for the PC version of the game and not on consoles.Fallout 4is also available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost.
