Fallout meets Call of Duty in free Steam download from Cyberpunk 2077 devs

If you love the gritty post-apocalyptic world of Fallout and the fast-paced military action of Call Of Duty, I might just have your next favourite game.

Currently in development from veterans who have worked on games likeCyberpunk 2077and theBioShockfranchise,Phantom Linelooks like a straight-up banger. Better still, you can play it forfreeright now.

“Join the paranormal SWAT.Phantom Lineis a co-op (1-4) shooter set in the post-nuclear European continent. Your mission is to search and contain paranormal events and activities (anomalies) hidden from the public eye, in an open world map full of dynamic events,“readsthe game’s official synopsis.

Antistatic Studios,Phantom Linelooks like a genuinely engrossing FPS with enough new ideas to make it worth your time.

While the game doesn’t have a release date yet, you can currently download and play it for free via Steam, although you only have until 18 June to do so.

It’s worth noting there’s no option to install a demo directly from the game’s Steam page. Instead, you have to join thegame’s Discord serverto get a key, which should be easy enough.

The developer writes: “Feedback is very important for our development process. We want to invite playtesters to include their input from the very start and shape the future of the game.

“Because it is so early, that means there will be bugs and optimizations we have not yet fixed. At this moment, the simulation can only be played on a Windows PC using a mouse and keyboard.”

Whether you dive into the demo or not, I have a feelingPhantom Linewill be well worth keeping an eye on over the next couple years.
