Fallout meets Horizon Zero Dawn in brutal new Steam shooter available now

Now I realise some people out there might be sick of hearing aboutHorizon Zero Dawn, after all the series is essentiallyPlayStation’sgolden child at the moment alongsideAstro Bot,andthen there’s that PS5 remake…

That’s not even the only Horizon game on the way,LEGO Horizon Adventureslaunches sometime this year too

That being said, thisSteamgame seemingly takes heavy inspiration from the Horizon games, but offers a slightly darker twist.

To survive you have to scavenge the wastelands as you come across unfortunate souls who didn’t get their happy ending, but are carrying loot that’ll be helpful to you on your journey.

If that sounds at all familiar you’re not going mad, asThe Forever Winterseemingly takes a few notes from theBethesdaIPFalloutas well.

Worry not though white the inspiration is pretty clear to see there’s seemingly enough in this game to make it stand out, like the eerie setting and the threats you’ll face along the way.

IfThe Forever Winterlooks like your type of game I’ve got good news and bad news.

The good news is youmightbe able to play the early-access build of the game, but the bad news is you’ll need to register for it so there’s no guarantee you’ll get a place.

You’ll probably be fine, but it’s best to refrain from getting your hopes up to spare yourself any disappointment.

Slightly more bad news is if you’d rather wait for the full game to drop you might be waiting for a while, as there’s no telling how long the early access will go on for.
