Fallout meets Need For Speed in epic new Mad Max-style game

If you’ve always wanted a Mad Max game, that’s not the one we’ve had already, then this Steam title might be the one for you.

Personally, I thought the 2015Mad Maxgame was pretty good but there seems to be a lot of criticism going around for it, especially sinceHideo Kojima said he’d be interestedin having a go at a new game.

Have you caught the trailer for the new Superman film yet?

It’s calledDrivers of the Apocalypse, and if we were to compare it to other, actual, video games we’d probably say it has shared DNA withFallout(wastelands of course) and the achy racing of theNeed For Speedgames.

The official description says you’ll “steal enemy cars and battle through convoys inDrivers of the Apocalypse. Weaken vehicles with gunfire, then leap into new rides to keep the chaos going. Face off against multiple bosses in fast-paced, high-octane battles for survival in a brutal, post-apocalyptic wasteland.”

The vehicles don’t look too crazy at first glance but you’ll seemingly be able to customise them with better equipment to tear and shred enemy vehicles.

It’s also quite a pretty game, and while I’m usually opposed to desert biomes in video games I think this one definitely has its merits, plus it’s a wasteland game so you can’t exactly avoid enormous sand dunes.

While I’d love to say you can try the game out right now I’m afraid you’re out of luck, as the game hasn’t come out yet and there’s no word on when it’ll be released, or if a free demo will be included.

That said it’s a new year so there’s every chance to comes out before the end of 2025, in the meantime add it your wishlist if you’re interested for further updates.
