It did have some stiff competition, and I did wonder whether in factArcanemight take the trophy for its fantastic second season.
That was perhaps the only other title truly in contention, as enjoyable asKnuckles, Like a Dragon: Yakuza, andTomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croftwere.

Falloutwas a triumphant success, both with critics and viewers, and with fans old and new.
I’ll admit, Fallout wasn’t something that I was an expert on ahead of the show’s release but like so many others, the series sent me flocking toFallout 4to soak up some more of the franchise’s post-apocalyptic action.
Thankfully for us,Falloutwas swiftly renewed for a second outing - one which is currently in the midst of filming.

At the end of the series, Ella Purnell’s Lucy could be seen looking out across the Nevada desert with New Vegas visible in the distance.
As such, it’s always been kind of obvious thatFalloutis going to partially adaptNew Vegas- especially as the New California Republic is such an integral part ofFallout’s storyline.
I say partially though asFalloutis actually set around 15 years after the events ofNew Vegas.
This ongoing storyline is something Nolan’s aforementioned acceptance speech touched upon.

“I want to thankFallout: New Vegasfans for not burning down my house,” Nolan jested. “You’ll be thankful you didn’t."
Whatever is coming in season two, Nolan is confident that it’ll appease, heck even thrill,New Vegasfans - and that’s a very exciting prospect.
With filming only just having begun, it’s unlikely that we’ll see season two land before late 2025.
