Unlike manyanimeadaptations, We’ve not had much luck with live-action video game productions, and as a devoted fan ofResident Evil, it’s a pain that I know too well. Thankfully, at least in recent times, it seems that things are changing.

For starters, we’ve had the fantasticThe Last of Usseries from HBO and now we eagerly await thesecond seasonarriving at some point in 2025. Heck, even the quality of theGran Turismomovie caught me off guard. If you’ve not watched that, I highly recommend it.

Earlier this year, we were also graced with the live-action adaptation of Bethesda’s beloved Fallout series streamed on Amazon’s Prime Video platform. I think we all hoped thatFalloutwould be good but I think I can fairly say that many of us never expected it to be as well received as it was.

Now, much likeThe Last of Us, we can’t wait for the second season ofFallout, which currently at this time, does not have a release date. I think the best we can hope for right now is late 2025 or early 2026.

Before I proceed, I will be going into spoilers for the final episode ofFallout, so please consider this to be yourspoiler warning.
