Fallout: Resurrection hailed by fans as a modern classic

TheFalloutseries began in 1997 as a humble RPG onPC, played from a trimetric perspective, unlikeFallout 3in 2008 which evolved into a massive open world offering players the choice of first-person and third-person perspectives.

In recent months, the Fallout series hasbenefited from a huge boom, largely thanks to the popularity of the criticallyacclaimed live-action seriesonAmazon’sstreaming platform, Prime Video. As such, not only have players been revisiting the likes ofFallout 3andFallout 4, but also the 90s classics.

“Everyone is (re)playingFalloutandFallout 2these days. And there’s a lot of mention of different mods and patches,”saidRedditor lithermit, kicking off a discussion on the thread. “However, I haven’t really noticed much mention of one specific gem which I enjoyed a great deal,” they said referring toFallout 1.5: Resurrection.

“I played this game, and it was awesome. The story is dark, with an atmosphere reminiscent of the originalFallout, and you can make different choices with consequences,” replied atrian555.

“I really liked it and it has a great atmosphere. Almost the same quality as the original,” MlekarDANcz responded with Jr_Mao adding “Loved it, real strong story.”

At the time of writing, the first two original games in the Fallout series are exclusive to PC, but who knows, with the recent boom in popularity, perhaps publisher Bethesda might consider porting them to modern consoles one day.
