It’s not unusual for publisherElectronic Artsto put out remasters for the Need for Speed series, after all,Hot Pursuitreceived a remaster in 2021. However, unlike the 2021 remaster, it looks likeMost Wantedwill be a full remake.

In apost shared on Reddit, Simone Bailly who played Officer Turf in Need forSpeed: Most Wantedtweeted: “Need for Speed: Most Wanted Remakeis being released in 2024, Like and Comment if you want to see Cross (Dean McKenzie) & his partner (Simone Bailly) hunt down the most wanted”. However, while some of the Reddit thread like the idea of aMost Wantedremake, many fans are wondering why it seems that EA looks to be ignoringNeed for Speed: Underground. “Why notUnderground??” asked killakev564. “Wrong game. Should be doingUnderground 2,” exclaimed aford92. “In NovemberNFS Undergroundcompletes 20 years, not touching it now is a huge mistake,” said gblandro.

Obviously, despite this information originating from a seemingly very reliable source, it’s still worth taking all unconfirmed rumours and speculation with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, if the rumour is true and theNeed for Speed: Most Wantedremake is arriving next year, we can perhaps expect an official announcement in the coming months.
