
With modern technology getting better and better, creators are revisiting older titles in the hopes of remastering them and bringing them up to the visual fidelity we see nowadays with the advent of things like ray tracing.
Far Cry players can enjoy this latest overhaul withFar Cry 4: Redux: a PC mod focused on “immersion” and “improving the original game”. This is mod is part of a ‘Redux’ series from a creator who is focused on revisiting each game from theFar Cryseries.
Far Cry 6was another great instalment in the long-running franchise.
Far Cry 4: Reduxaims to “overhaul the gameplay, fix bugs, and streamline the experience for repeat players”. From what we can see of screenshots from the project, the game is looking gorgeous and certainly feels more modern compared to its release 10 years ago.

Far Cry 4, while still seeing success for Ubisoft, was a tricky release as it came hot on the heels of a fan favourite. Set in a fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat, players took on the role of Ajay Ghale who gets caught up in the civil war taken over the country. It is up to you to explore the countryside and villages looking for a foothold in order to lead a fight against the tyrannical ruler, Pagan Min.
