Far Cry 7 gameplay teaser leaves fans unsure, and we can see why

The Far Cry series is pretty good, it’s not my favourite Ubisoft IP but I’ve had a lot of fun with its games especiallyFar Cry 4.

While I haven’t played the last two games I have looked in them and seen they weren’t everyone’s cup of tea, as the series very rarely divulges from its tried and true formula.

Far Cry 6was the worst offender of this, though it’s DLC expansions were solid

Fortunately it sounds likeFar Cry 7is going to revamp the series for the better, or worse depending on your point of view.

Interestingly it’sclaimedthere are twoFar Crygames currently in development according to leakers, there’s an extraction shooter and a more traditional Far Cry game which will act asFar Cry 7.

It’s saidFar Cry 7will give players a total of 24 real-life hours to finish the game, as a ticking clock will be introduced that denotes how much time the player’s character has to save the day.

As someone who loves the oldDead Risinggames and how much pressure is placed upon the player to get through the game quickly I’m actually into this idea, but it obviously depends on the execution.

It’s an interesting premise for sure but again we’ll have to see how it works in gameplay before passing any judgements.

Fans are hesitant too, with somesaying“the 72 hour in-game timer sounds interesting but I don’t know if Ubisoft actually has the chops to pull off that kind of game mechanically.”

Others are less optimistic, as for many “Far Cry is the only Ubisoft ‘formula’ that I actually liked.”

“Timer? Hard pass. Hate those and at this point, I refuse to buy any games that have it” added another fan.

I’ll be holding off my opinions until we actually see the game, but for the time being I’m interested in what Ubisoft is cooking up.
