Far Cry 7 leak leaves fans seriously divided

Supposed details on Far Cry 7’s story have surfaced online, and it sounds like a completely new experience compared to past Far Cry games.

Admittedly theFar Cryseries has been in need of a shake-up, as wellFar Cry 6and previous entries have been good; they’ve done very little to innovate the open-world franchise.

However it sounds like Ubisoft has major plans to reimagine what a Far Cry game could be like, and I’m not just talking aboutthe New England setting.

Ubisofthasn’t actually confirmed the existence ofFar Cry 7just yet, but let’s be real, we all know that it’s going to happen as it’s one of the developer’s best performing series aside fromAssassin’s Creed.

New rumours about the game indicate there’ll still be an open-world to explore, but you won’t have all the time in the world to actually explore it, as the series is supposedly introducing a time limit.

They went on to say that players will be able to gather information as to where the family members are being kept, but enemies can “give you wrong information” to throw you off. It’s said you’ll have to save all family members in order to 100% the game.

Finally, it was saidFar Cry 7will have a “time limit of 72 in-game hours, which amounts to 24 hours of gaming.”

As you’d imagine fans weren’t thrilled with this idea, with one saying they hope “the timer thing is just a rumor,” and another calling it “absolutely terrible.”

Keep in mind that none of this has been confirmed at the time of writing and could be the furthest thing from what Ubisoft actually has planned, though it would be a big shake-up for the series if it’s true.

Hopefully Ubisoft has plans to announce the game soon, potentially next year depending on how development is doing.
