Far Cry 7isn’t exactly a well kept secret.

Ubisoftis yet to announce the game, but rumours are rife as to what the next instalment in the long-running franchise will have in store.

Fair to say thatFar Cryis somewhat in a bit of a rut. It’s not in a terrible state but devs still haven’t quite managed to create something that matches the epic heights ofFar Cry 3.

CouldFar Cry 7restore fans’ faith in the series? It’s possible. Perhaps that’s why Ubisoft is taking its sweet time behind the scenes.

Whether this is part of the main campaign or an added challenge purely to 100% the game is not yet known.

Insider Gaming has further backed up the kidnapping plot line, adding that the player will be saving their family from the so-called Sons of Truth.

Of course, this doesn’t totally validate the rumour but it certainly adds to its credibility somewhat.

I supposeFar Cry 7’s reveal is only a matter of time but with the focus firmly onAssassin’s Creed Shadowsfor now, I wouldn’t expect to hear too much in the remainder of 2024.
