PlayStation’s latest State of Play event just drew to a close and while it may not have been chock full of the first-party announcements many of us were itching for, we did receive a thorough update on Sony’s upcoming third-party release slate.

In this latest instalment, “Cloud Strife and his friends have escaped the dystopian city of Midgar and embark on a new journey across the wide world of Gaia to pursue the vengeful swordsman, Sephiroth.”

Red XIII was an accompanying member in the previous game, before becoming an official party member in this one. It’s been confirmed that inRebirth, we’ll acquire new accompanying members that too, like Red XIII, will become playable in the game’s next sequel. Additionally, while you cannot carry yourRemakesave over, it’s been revealed that players of the previous game will be able to “start with a little something extra”. Who else cannot wait to dive in?
