Forget GTA 6, a photorealistic GTA 5 remaster has just landed

Grand Theft Auto players are so bored of waiting forGTA VIthat they’re makingGTA Vphotorealistic instead.

Rockstar Gameshas said very little aboutGTA VI, a smart move as even the smallest official detail could generate an obscene amount of hype from fans.

The trailer forGTA VIcompletely broke the internet when it first aired, and remains one of the biggest videos on YouTube right now.

The release date forGTA VIis yet to be confirmed outside of its fall 2025 release window, whichcould still be pushed back to 2026if disaster strikes.

Regardless of when it releases, it certainly isn’t coming anytime soon, so in the meantime fans are trying to enhanceGTA Vso it looks likeGTA VIinstead.

With 8K resolution and maxed out settings (I can hear the PC groaning from here) it looks miraculous, and one can only imagine whatGTA VIis going to look like whenPC users get hold of it.

Like any good graphical showcase, the video takes its viewers on a leisurely drive through Los Santos, and while the day time driving looks a little bit choppy, it’s surreal when the sun sets.

The mods used obviously enhance the textures and reflections, with ray tracing enhancing things even further for a realistic look on the game’s surfaces.

Undoubtedly, the best-looking part of the video is when the player heads to the beach, which boasts a beautiful sunset as the waves come crashing in.

It all looks fantastic, and with Rockstar at the helm,GTA VIis likely going to look 10x better at a minimum, though we’ll reserve judgement until we see actual gameplay rather than the lovely panning shots and cutscenes shown in the trailer.
