TitledA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, the upcoming series is based on George R.R. Martin’sGame of Thronesprequel series Tales of Dunk and Egg.
It’s set 90 years before the events of the main series, following the two titular heroes as they navigate life in Westeros amidst Targaryen rule.
It’s a Targaryen rule that vastly differs from what we’re currently seeing in the dragon-heavyHouse of the Dragon.

The TV series may have nabbed the title ofThe Hedge Knightbut presumably, it’ll attempt to adapt all three.
“Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends,” reads the official synopsis.
