Gears of War: E-Daywas officially revealed back in June with the release ofits trailer at theXbox Games Showcase, and will follow the early days of both Marcus and Dom’s time in the Coalition of Ordered Governments.
The game is set to release on theXbox Series X/Sand is supposed to serve as a prequel of sorts to the events of the firstGears of War, which led some to assume that we might not see the return of series veterans John DiMaggio and Carlos Ferro in their respective roles.

Thankfully, in celebration of the first game’s birthday, the officialGears of Waraccount that both actors will be returning to reprise the two lead characters.

There’s no current word on the exact release date ofGears of War: E-Day,but it’s probably fair to assume that we won’t be seeing the game any time in the next year - considering how recent the announcement of its existence was.
