Ghost Of Tsushima 2 leaves fans divided

I yearn for a sequel to Sucker Punch’sGhost of Tsushima, and I’m certainly not alone in feeling that way.

Thankfully, that sequel is practically the industry’s worst kept secret.

Sucker Punchhas been beavering away quietly on something for the past four years, with that game seemingly being a sequel to Jin Sakai’s acclaimed adventure.

Do you remember the ‘Live fromPS5’ marketing campaign?

It debuted in 2023, featuring clips from games that had all natively launched on the PlayStation 5 upon release.

There were two mysterious outliers though: an Uncharted-esque looking game starring a female lead, which still hasn’t been explained, and a brief glimpse of Jin Sakai.

Many took this to be a quiet teaser for aGhost of Tsushimasequel, yet it’s slightly odd that 18 months plus on, the project remains a secret.

Fuel has been added to the fire though as earlier this year, the ever-reliable Jason Schreierteased that Sucker Punch was working onGhost of Tsushima 2- a game that was expected to take a minimum of five years in development, putting its release window in 2025 or beyond.

With rumours swirling that a State of Play is to be held next week, could aGhost of Tsushima 2reveal be almost upon us?

We’re all hoping so, with many fans debating what they’d like to see from the game.

Hopefully, we’ll get aLEGO Horizon Adventuresrelease date too. The game is due to launch this year.

“A future Ghost defending Japan from gasp any colonising force of Europeans would honestly be dope,”suggestedReddit user Lola_PopBBae, which isn’t too dissimilar from what we saw in this year’sRise of the Ronin.

“If they were to do another Ghost story, being about either the second Mongol invasion (1281) or even taking place in the Sengoku Period, honestly, there’s so much they can do with the idea and they don’t have to stay historically accurate considering Ghost is wildly fantasised as far as being a Samurai in 1274 on Tsushima Island could be,”addedWooble_R.

With all of this in mind, I shouldn’t think that Sucker Punch is short of ideas. Here’s to hoping that highly anticipated reveal isn’t too far away.
