Nobody expected it but tonight’s State of Play saw Sucker Punch announce a highly-anticipated sequel toGhost of Tsushima.
TitledGhost of Yōtei,we know that it will feature a female protagonist also operating in Japan and it is set to be released some time in 2025.

We see our brand-new protagonist, masked and skulking in the shadows but it is yet unconfirmed if she is at all related to the events ofGhost of Tsushimaor Jin Sakai himself.

However, with this being the first time we have seenGhost of Yōtei,we can expect a lot more information fromSucker Punchover the upcoming months.
As forGhost of Tsushima,it was first released back in 2020 and became one of the highlights of the year.
It tells the story of samurai Jin Sakai as he sets out on a quest to protect the land of Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan.
The action-adventure title was praised for its epic combat, stunning visuals and engaging story so it is perhaps no wonder that a sequel has already been announced.

As mentioned, the trailer gives us a glimpse at the upcoming sequel and players went mad to see the well-known black and white cinematics found in the first game.

WithGhost of Yōteiexpected to launch some time in 2025, we can expect this title to be heading to the brand-new PlayStation 5 Pro on release.
