Ghost Of Tsushima PC port landing sooner than we expected

Ghost of Tsushimais easily one of my all-time favourite PlayStation exclusives. It’s no secret that it boasts a truly stunning open-world but beyond that, it is the full package with an engaging combat system and engrossing narrative.

This year marks four years sinceGhost of Tsushimawas first released, and we have no idea whatSucker Punchhas been cooking up since. It’s assumed that a sequel is in the works. In early 2023, Sony dropped a newPlayStation 5trailer focusing on recently released and upcoming console exclusives. While most of these were easily identifiable, there were two mystery clips. One featureda female explorer finding a hidden treasure in a cavewhilst the otherstarred none other than Jin Sakai. Neither clip has yet been explained but the general consensus is that a rebooted Uncharted entry andGhost of Tsushimasequel are likely to drop on the PS5 before the end of its life cycle.

Rise of the Roninshould appeal to fans ofGhost of Tsushima. Take a look at its trailer below ahead of the game’s 22 March release date.

I’m hoping the projects teased in both clips are revealed during a showcase this year. We’ve been pouring over these teases for almost 12 months now. What do they mean Sony?! If Sucker Punch has been working onGhost of Tsushimafor four years, it stands to reason that we could see the game launch in the next two years. Apparently though, devs have also been hard at work on another project: a PC port ofGhost of Tsushima.

It feels as if we’re in dire need of a major PlayStation showcase. It’s been a busy start to the year withFinal Fantasy VII Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, andHelldivers IIbut very little is known about what the backend of 2024 holds - especially now that we’ve discovered thatDeath Stranding 2: On The Beachis a 2025 title. Hopefully Sony has some exciting surprises in store.
