“At Sucker Punch we love origin stories, and we wanted to explore what it could mean to have a new hero wearing a Ghost mask, and uncovering a new legend. This led us toGhost of Yōtei: a new protagonist, a new story to unfold, and a new region of Japan to explore,”saidSucker Punch senior communications manager Andrew Goldfarb on the PlayStation blog.
Ghost of Yōteiwill take players to Ezo, an area known as Hokkaido in present day Japan.
If you hadn’t already gathered from the trailer, this rich landscape offers everything from sprawling grasslands to snowy tundras.
We don’t know much about the game’s story, with Sucker Punch teasing that they’ll have more to share in the months ahead, “including details about Atsu’s journey and the people (and animals) she’ll meet along the way”.
